ALLEGHENY COUNTY CONTROLLER CHELSA WAGNER FILES COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT

(PITTSBURGH) Allegheny County Controller Chelsa Wagner today filed her office’s 2014 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report with the Department of Court Records.

“Since taking office, I have diligently worked to improve the County’s financial status and have focused on three key areas – increasing the fund balance, decreasing debt and improving pension health,” Wagner said. “We are very proud to say that we have restored the fund balance, achieved some balance with the County’s debt and stabilized the County’s pension. While there is more work to be done, none of these goals would have been achieved without the strong and consistent checks and balances of the Controller’s Office.

While the Administration and I do not always agree, I am proud to say that the meaningful checks and balances, for which my office stands, have brought the County to a much-improved financial position.”
