CONTROLLER WAGNER LOOKS FORWARD TO WORKING WITH NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS; CONGRATULATES NEW COUNCIL PRESIDENT

Yesterday evening, three new Allegheny County Council members officially joined the legislative body. In addition to the swearing-in of the new members, a new council president was voted into place for the next two years. Allegheny County Controller Chelsa Wagner would like to congratulate the new Allegheny County Council members Tom Baker, Ed Kress, and Sue Means as well as the new Allegheny County Council President John DeFazio.

“As a former legislator, I understand the importance of the legislative body and am hopeful that council will weigh in on pressing county issues including impending Marcellus Shale drilling in the parks,” Wagner said. “I look forward to working with all those on council as Allegheny County government moves forward into the new year.”
