Today, Controller Wagner sent a Letter of Support to the UPMC Altoona Nurses as they prepare for the upcoming unfair labor practice strike at UPMC Altoona.

"I applaud you and your fellow nurses in uniting to do what is right for your profession, the community and for the health of the public," Wagner said. "As a self-proclaimed purely public charity, UPMC has an obligation to do right by its nurses- its dedicated frontline caregivers."
